it wasn't that bad!

expect a loser like me to rave about a movie that has been raved about months ago.
eh bakit ba, ngayon ko lang napanuod ang Twilight at online pa.

i've abandoned my plans on watching it when i've read reviews complaining that the movie wasn't loyal to the manuscript. i'm not a huge fan of the book though i liked the story with all its twists and fancy characters. harry potter still tops my list but i can totally relate to Twilight readers who felt violated on how the book was translated into the big screen 'cos that's how i felt about most of the harry potter movies. sucks when the movie doesn't give justice to the characters, right? and when you're imagination is ten million times helluva better than the movie.

anyhoo, after 'incidentally' watching Twilight online (i was combing cyberspace for a site where i can watch episodes of my all-time favorite tv show, Charmed, sabi sa'yo loser ako eh!) when i landed on this moviesomething.com which already has Twilight. wow, ang bilis! watching the movie sans any high expectations led to less disappointments.

wait lang, this ain't another movie review. trust me, i don't have the gall to make one. in the first place kasi iisa lamang naman akong hamak na manunuod online.

in my humble opinion, the movie managed to stand on its own. it's a solid movie. i'm saying this in the sense that people looking for a visually captivating movie with an interesting story would definitely find Twilight one kickass flick, without having to read the book. (it's like me super lovin' the Lord of the Ring (or was it Rings? whatever, loser!) without going through the painful process of reading the entire set.)

more so, how could you not love a movie which has the hottest cold one (parang may mali di ba?), popularly known as vampire, as one of the lead characters. sorry dracula but you are no longer pop culture's favorite vampire poster boy. edward cullen is the sexiest man in the world of the undead without even flashing a fang. he's even sexier than Shakespeare whenever he spills those outrageously romantic lines. s-s-stop it, e-e-dward! i might suffer a sweet stroke!

note *slash* promise to self: i will watch New Moon and forget about what i read.
movie in! book out!
